Invention theory
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Golf swings performed by profesionals exhibit qualities of smoothness,
rhythm, and timing.
Profesional golfers use these qualities to consistently strike long and
straight shots.
Yet, there has never before been a process or training aid able to take the
rhythm of
an excellent golfer and teach it to another. Accordingly, the TI invention
is directed to teaching a golfer to swing in a continuous, rhythmic,
repeatable manner, synchronized to values of excellent golfers. Everyone
wants to swing like their favorite pro, so why not ?
PRIOR TEACHINGS:
Golf instruction and writings commonly teach association of a verbal cadence
with performing the golf swing.
Students have been instructed to speak out loud phrases as they swing a
golf club, (i.e. "one-two-three", "Edelwiesse",
"Geronimo" and countless others). In the 1920's Golf Instructor Ernest Jones
had his students listen to music, Sam Snead
conciously swung in time to a waltz rhythm, and Tom Watson was fond of the "
Edleweise" phrase.
Modern gadgets, video tapes, metronomes and beepers have all attempted carry
the above theory further. However, until the
invention of the TI there were major problems yet to be solved.
There are four major failings with prior inventions and products, each
solved by the TI.
1) Prior products require the student to attempt a critical
synchronization of the initial movement of the golf swing to a
free running audible signal. This synchronization is a difficult and
ineffective requirement to place on the golf student.
Failure to precisely mate the origination of the golf swing to the intended
proper click noise renders the practice
out of phase. The object of these products is to teach a repeatable rhythmic
golf swing, yet the designs require
the student to keenly focus elsewhere. THE TI SENSES THE GOLF SWING AND
SYNCHRONIZES YOUR SWING FOR YOU.
2) An additional failing of prior products are there is no direct linkage to
the golf swing. They are on the ground, your belt or in a head phone. With
the TI the swing melody emits from the swing plane, and this combination of
both feeling and hearing the club head in motion allows the golfer to absorb
the rhythm of the selected pro golfer effortlessly, efficiently and
accurately.
3) An additional failing of prior products are they teach the golf swing to
include phases of equal time value or a pause of motion. This is contrary to
the continuous, rhythmic motion of golf swings performed by proficient
golfers. Prior products do not provide true or nearly precise enough
representations of the rhythm and timing of actual professional golfers. THE
TI SOUND FILES ARE PRECISE AND MELODIC REPRESENTATIONS of golf swings
performed by excellent golfers, each sound file being a specific
representation of a specific professional golf swing. Computer study of golf
swing video provides timing information with a precision of one-one
hundreth of a second.
4) An additional failing of prior products are they represent the golf swing
in a digital manner. Audible tones are fully off or on, presenting a stop
and go cadence. This retards the learning of a continuous, rhythmic motion.
The proper stroke is similar to the cracking of a whip. The amount of time
used for: drawing the whip back, changing directions, and sending the whip
forward, are disproportionate. Any attempt to equalize these periods of time
or introduction of a pause would ruin the effort of cracking a whip, or
likewise, performing a golf swing. The sound produced by the TI is
continuous, and utilizes changes in pitch and volume, wherein the timing is
synchronized to the study of actual professional golfers.
Additional ADVANTAGES:
In addition to solving all of the previous issues in teaching golf rhythm,
the TI has further advantages :
Ease of use.The club utilizes changes in volume, pitch and Doppler effect to
intuitively guide the consumer along the selected professional's swing
rhythm. The swing melody emits from the swing plane, and this combination of
both feeling and hearing the club head in motion allows the golfer to absorb
the rhythm of the selected pro golfer effortlessly. Just swing and listen.
.. Each and every swing transfers more and more of the Professional's swing
to you!
The patented design of this club detects the initial movement of a golf
swing and instantly plays a programmed swing melody containing a skilled
golfer's swing rhythm, allowing the consumer to match the tempo by
physically swinging the club in time. The innovation of the TI has made a
1,000 % leap forward in teaching precise golf swing rhythm.
It is a golf club that is capable of teaching amateur golfers the exact
rhythm and tempo of any Pro's golf swing.
This is the first time a golfer can purchase the actual rhythm and tempo of
professional golfers, and is in the form of a club.
All ten settings cover wide ranges of golfing styles as practiced by the
pros. Settings 0-2 are for deliberate and slow golf swings. Settings 3-5 are
for moderately paced swings. Settings 6-9 are for brisker swings. Thus,
amateur golfers of all abilities can find a professional golf swing to
emulate by using this club.
This is a practical club and can easily be carried in the golfer's bag.
Golfers constantly search for that certain feel and tempo, no need to search
anymore, it's in
your bag !!
